Why stand ye idly gazing t’ward Heaven’s blessed height?
This same Jesus is coming back again;
The shining angels told it, arrayed in spotless white;
This same Jesus is coming back again.
This same Jesus, this same Jesus;
Oh, tell the joyful tidings to all the sons of men!
Oh, let us work and pray, rejoicing every day;
This same Jesus is coming back again.

Receiving His good Spirit, we’ll know His presence near;
This same Jesus is coming back again;
He fills us with His blessing, He gives us love and cheer;
This same Jesus is coming back again.
3
Our lowly talents doubling, more faithful may we be;
This same Jesus is coming back again;
And spread abroad His Gospel with happy hearts and free;
This same Jesus is coming back again.
4
In every time of trial we’ll trust His changeless love;
This same Jesus is coming back again;
The mighty King of Glory still reigns for us above;
This same Jesus is coming back again.
