Thro’ the sacrifice of Jesus the Lamb,

Thro’ the blood full atonement is made,

He has carried all our burdens of sorrow,

And on Him our transgressions were laid.

There is peace thro’ the blood,

Thro’ the precious blood He offers so free;

There is peace thro’ the blood,

O that precious blood is flowing for me.

Thro’ the sacrifice of Jesus the Lamb,

Thro’ the blood of the Lamb that was slain,

We are rescued from our bondage forever,

And the way of redemption is plain.

Thro’ the sacrifice of Jesus the Lamb,

Unto all who repent and believe,

What a comfort in the promise He left us—

Thro’ the blood we may pardon receive.

4

As in Adam we are ruined and lost,

So in Christ shall our life be restored,

And the Father in His mercy will own us

Thro’ the blood of our crucified Lord.
